Croke Park tours this winter

Winter is the quiet season at Croke Park, and the tour timetable shrinks to match. Here is what runs from late October to spring, and the two special editions worth planning around.

The summer rush at Croke Park ends with the All-Ireland finals. From September the Stadium Tour drops back to three departures a day, and the Skyline rooftop tour runs a short winter schedule. Both still include the GAA Museum.

This post covers the times published on crokepark.ie as of 22 October 2026, the Halloween Teidí tours for children, the dusk Skyline tours, and what a match or event day does to all of it.

The quick answer

Stadium Tours run daily at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 from September to May. The Skyline runs at 11:30 and 14:30 daily in October and November; from January it is 14:30 only on Monday to Thursday, plus 11:30 from Friday to Sunday. Teidí Halloween tours for kids run at 10:30 from 24 October to 1 November. Dusk Skyline dates for 2026-27 are not out yet: watch crokepark.ie/dusk. Match days change the schedule.

What are the Croke Park Stadium Tour times in winter 2026-27?

Three a day, every day: 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00, from September through to May. The last tour leaves at 15:00.

The official Stadium Tour page lists the same three departures for September to November, for December and for January to May. The extra half-hour slots only come back in June. Each tour lasts about 90 minutes, starting with a 20-minute film, and you need at least 30 more minutes for the museum.

Our pick in winter is the 11:00 tour. You finish with the whole afternoon free for the museum and the cafe, and the light in the bowl is better than at 15:00 in December. Arrive 10 minutes early at the museum under the Cusack Stand. The door is off St Joseph's Avenue, not Jones Road. How to get to Croke Park has the walk from the city.

When does the Skyline rooftop tour run this winter?

At 11:30 and 14:30 every day in October and November. From January the weekday morning tour drops away, leaving 14:30 on Monday to Thursday and two tours from Friday to Sunday.

That is the timetable on the Skyline page. It lists no December times as of 22 October, so check the booking calendar for that month. Booking is online and in advance only, at €24 for adults and €22 for students and seniors, museum included.

Plan the museum around the afternoon tour. Croke Park's own advice is to see the museum before the later Skyline tour, because the museum closes at 17:00. The walkway is 17 storeys up and open to the wind, and minimum age is 12. In January wear a hat. If heights bother you, the Stadium Tour or Skyline comparison explains what you would miss on the ground.

What are the dusk Skyline tours, and when do they run?

A late-afternoon edition of the Skyline, timed for sunset over Dublin, on a few winter dates only. The 2026-27 dates had not been published as of 22 October.

Last winter the dusk tours page listed seven dates across December, January and February, all starting at 15:45, at €20 for adults and €18 for students and seniors. Ages 12 and up, limited tickets, advance booking only.

Dublin's sun sets a little after 16:00 in late December, so a 15:45 start puts you on the roof as the city lights come on. It is the best version of the Skyline, in our view. Last year's calendar included 30 December, which is a closed day this Christmas, so do not assume the same dates. Check crokepark.ie/dusk from November.

What are the Halloween Teidí tours at the GAA Museum?

A two-hour morning for children aged 3 and up: they build a 16-inch teddy, then take a family guided tour of the stadium and the museum.

The Teidí tours run at 10:30 each day from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, which lines up with the school mid-term break. The workshop is in Cú Chulainn's Den, and the teddy and its little training kit go home with the child. The tour itself visits the dressing rooms and walks pitchside.

Tickets are €32 per child, €10 per adult and €8 per senior, booked online in advance. Places are limited, and every child needs an adult with them. Under-3s cannot take part. For older kids who would rather hold a hurley than a teddy, the Games Zone in the museum is open on any normal tour.

How do match and event days change the winter tours?

On match days the museum may close or tours run to an adjusted schedule. Check before you travel, and do not plan a tour for the day of a big game.

Croke Park says it plainly on both tour pages: tours operate on an adjusted schedule on match days, and the museum may be closed. Winter has fewer fixtures than summer. The inter-county leagues start in the new year, and some games and other events are held at Croke Park, so check the crokepark.ie events listing against your date.

A match ticket gets you free entry to the museum from the time the turnstiles open, but not a stadium tour. Short-term changes happen too. In October 2026, a children's activity day moved tour entry to the Davin car park for two days. If anything looks odd on the booking calendar, call the museum on +353 1 819 2323. Our tickets and hours guide has the full price list.

Croke Park had not listed December Skyline times as of 22 October 2026. Check the booking calendar, and watch crokepark.ie/dusk for the winter dusk tour dates.
